Your Fridays at TBH have been jam-packed with some of your favourite acts hitting the stage every week and June is no different! Get down early to sip on a happy hour delight and have a boogie with the DJs kicking things off every Friday from 6PM!
First up, the unstoppable Adrian Dzvuke. In just a few years, Adrian has pioneered the Afrobeats sound in Australia, playing huge stages like Groovin The Moo & Splendour In The Grass, and supporting stars like POND, San Cisco, Spacey Jane & Stella Donnelly. Joining this stacked lineup will be: Lucid Safari & False London.
Playing together since 2014 and taking influences from rock giants like blink-182, Nirvana, RHCP and The Offspring. Quite Like Pete has slowly developed a strong sound full of fast-paced energy and they put all of that into their first EP “Can’t Get Enough!” released in 2019. Get down earlier so you don’t miss Lemon Row & Horsin Around setting the stage off.
Camino’s sound mixes the party of Californian surf rock with relaxed tones of dreamscape guitars and cruisey vibes, which touch all the right spots. Canberra icons Spouse & Locals Treasure Troves will be joining this one to make for an epic night.
From Milku’s teen years sweating in Darwin to his current home of Sydney (where he plays guitar for Middle Kids), the sound of Milku was slowly born: part bedroom art-pop, part love letter to synthesisers and autotune and the New York indie bands of the early ’00s. To be bold and unafraid and bombastic. To be emotional and connected. To be known. Playing alongside Milku will be Jasper & The Jokers and Sunder.
Australia’s Yen Strange emerged with an introspective mix of dreamy and glossy alt-pop in the late 2010s. Partly inspired by prior episodes of depression and social alienation, her debut single, “Donnie Darko,” saw release in 2021. Joined by Canberra’s sweetheart Lucy Sugerman & Local up and comers The TBC’S this lineup packed with female talent is the perfect way to round out the month.
